Steve Longbottom Photography
A commercial photographer specialising in food, lifestyle, product and interior subjects.
Fully qualified and with an accomplished commercial portfolio, I bring a creative eye to a project, and provide strong and compelling photography that stands out from the crowd. Having worked within creative agencies, and at the client side, I have developed a keen understanding of what is required to deliver a stand-out result. Working with clients to develop ideas, I also bring to the table my experience as an Art Director and Project Manager to ensure that the photography is delivered on schedule and budget, in a style that will impress.
Velocity
Velocity was a festival of digital culture hosted by Folly Digital Arts in Lancaster. The event took place throughout the North-West region highlighting exciting and emerging digital artists along the coastal rail route around Morecambe Bay.
My brief consisted of developing an iconic image that encapsulated Folly's digital repertoire whilst being routed in the location of the festival.
The final image, which was used in all printed materials for the event, posters in and around all of the regions railway stations and online, was taken using a long exposure and several hours of waiting on a railway bridge looking out at the Sun set over Morecambe Bay.

Hipping Hall Hotel
The brief given for this job was to develop a portfolio of images for a newly renovated country boutique hotel positioning itself at the premium market. Images were to include reception areas, rooms, bars, staff and menus. Images from this shoot went on to be used in a sparkling review in The Observer Magazine.

The Dukes Playhouse
The Dukes Playhouse is a well-renowned and respected theatre, independent cinema and arts space in Lancaster. They wanted striking imagery for their seasonal guide books.
The brief was to use their neon sign and take it out into the surrounding environment and create a conceptual image that would front the brochure. Two images were created - one for Autumn/Winter and one for Spring/Summer.
