Belle Epoque Hotel & Brassiere
Campaign: Drawing on our international experience of working within the leisure industry, Scribble helped a Cheshire family to raise the profile of their two award-winning businesses, The Belle Époque hotel and brassiere and The Duke of Portland gastro-pub.
We created a two-year strategy to promote the Belle Epoque as an ideal venue for weddings and civil partnerships, a romantic break or night out, while pitching The Duke of Portland as a hidden gem in Cheshire, for excellent food and fine wine. The communications strategy raised the profile of both venues in the regional, lifestyle and hospitality trade press and developed reputations for key members of the team at each venue.
Outcome: The long term commitment to PR and communications really paid off. Among the activity, Scribble secured a weekly food column for Dave Mooney in the Manchester Evening News, and excellent restaurant and hotel reviews in The Times, Cheshire Life and Living Edge. Plus, lead feature articles in French Magazine and regular news stories in industry publications such as The Publican. The campaign also included articles on the Mooney family as successful entrepreneurs in the North West in key business publications. Scribble’s communications campaign was instrumental in securing listings in the Michelin Guide for both venues and other leading food guides.

Close XThink Safe Drink Safe card campaign
Campaign: Scribble teamed up with award-winning Sale marketing consultancy Sunny Thinking to launch the Think Safe Drink Safe card campaign. The initiative between NHS Manchester, Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Police is designed to promote alcohol-free drinks to people and venues across Manchester city centre to encourage sensible drinking and safer nights out. The project included event management, media and public relations and copywriting.
Outcome: The campaign was a fantastic success with over 20 bars and clubs signing up to offer a wide range of alcohol-free drinks and promote safer and healthier nights. Scribble secured high profile media coverage in Manchester Evening News, Real Radio, Citylife.co.uk and in the hospitality trade press such as The Morning Advertiser.

Manchester Art Gallery
Campaign: Manchester City Galleries approached Scribble to work on a 6-month PR campaign to promote the galleries in the business and lifestyle media. The aim of the campaign was to use the media to elevate the galleries corporate offers, specifically: venue hire, corporate membership, sponsorship opportunities and school programmes sponsorship.
Outcome: The campaign resulted in Manchester City Galleries featuring in North West media including Living Edge magazine, YQ, Crain’s Manchester Business and Manchester Evening News.
Scribble introduced representatives of Manchester City Galleries corporate team to leading Manchester journalists which cemented strong relationships between the media and the galleries.
